"The Lord Will Fight for You"

God leads Israel to what seems like a dead end, placing them between the sea and Pharaoh’s approaching army. At that moment, their fear reveals a common human fear: feeling trapped with no way out and worrying that God might leave us behind. But Moses responds to their fear by saying, "Stay still, for the Lord will fight for you." Israel does not have to save themselves; instead, they are called to trust and receive salvation, even as they are told to step forward into the water. In the same way, Christ stands between us and the judgment we deserve, taking on Himself what should have fallen on us. The waters that brought death to Egypt brought life to Israel. Sometimes, the place where you feel most trapped is exactly where God chooses to save you.
