Our Mission at The Cross Church is to show every child the love of God and to teach every child the truth about Jesus Christ in an age-appropriate manner. We believe that all children are gifts from above. We embrace every child and desire to welcome them to our classrooms in the best possible way. We desire to include all children when possible.
Prayers and Parables - October
Hello CrossKIDS Family:
It's time for another new month and this time it's all about PUMPKINS! We started this Sunday by creating our Cross KIDS pumpkin patch. Be looking for the many ways we use pumpkins to teach God’s Word this month!
Pre-K - Pumpkin Prayers
“Lord, show me your ways. Teach me how to follow you.” -Psalm 25:4
This month, pre-Kers are learning to pray to God everyday. They will learn about praying for forgiveness, praying to thank and praise God, and praying to ask God to help them..
Elementary - Pumpkin Parables
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6
Parables are short stories that Jesus told with a much bigger meaning. In some ways a parable is a lot like a pumpkin seed. It starts out as just a small story, but after you spend time thinking about it you realize it has a really big and important message to tell. These four lessons will use pumpkins to teach children about 4 of Jesus’ parables.

Vacation Bible School!
Every year at The Cross Church, we look forward to Vacation Bible School (VBS)! VBS is one of the highlights of our summer, usually taking place in the month of July.
Each year, we have a new theme designed to help kids discover biblical truths and grow in their understanding of God. Some of our past themes have included:
Our VBS is a three-day event taking place in the evening for children from Pre-K through 5th grade. Each night, we provide a meal, and then kids rotate through several exciting activities, including Storyteller, Crafts, Recreation, and Bible Memory.
We also spend time in praise and worship, followed by an encouraging message from one of our church leaders.
Our goal is to make VBS fun, memorable, and meaningful while teaching kids biblical truths they can carry with them throughout their lives.
We always have a BLAST at VBS, and we’d love for your child to join us!
