"Remember Who You Are"

Dec 14, 2025    Daniel Kitchel

In Galatians 4:8-16, the apostle Paul confronts a subtle but dangerous spiritual drift that returns us to our former way of life. This message isn’t about bad people doing bad things; it’s about loved children forgetting who their Father is.

In this sermon, we explore how easily grace can be replaced by performance, dependence by control, and a relationship with religion. Paul reminds the Galatians that the gospel first came to them through weakness, love, and truth, and asks a haunting question: “Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?”

We are invited to walk in the grace we first received, live as children who already belong, and never go back to our former way of life.
