"When Jesus Calls Your Name"

Mar 1, 2026    Daniel Kitchel

In Luke 19, we see Jesus stop everything for one man = Zacchaeus, a tax collector known for cheating others. Zacchaeus climbs a tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus, but Jesus already sees him, calls him by name, and says, “I must stay at your house today.” In that single moment, the authority, grace, and rescue of Christ are on full display. Zacchaeus comes down, welcomes Jesus into his home, and his life is immediately transformed. Repentance becomes real, restoration begins, and Jesus declares, “Today salvation has come to this house.” The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost—and just as Jesus called Zacchaeus by name, He still calls us personally today.
